Bakr’s unisex tee, “Kaduva Puli,” draws from a colloquial Malayalam expression. Kaduva means tiger and puli means tamarind, and the phrase is often used to describe someone with a fierce, bold nature. To call someone a kaduva puli is to suggest a person who is as fierce as a tiger and as sharp as tamarind—someone strong, spirited, and not easily intimidated.

Kaduva Puli in ecru is hand printed in myrobalan extracted yellow, lac red layered with yellow to bring an orange shade, rust black extracted through the fermentation of iron rust and molasses, and olive green which is a combination of iron rust and myrobalan yellow.

This item is individually hand-printed and hand-painted using 100% natural dyes, resulting in subtle variations that make each piece truly unique.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

This garment is hand-printed and hand-dyed in 100% handcrafted natural colours. Like fine wine, it only gets better with age—faint bleeds and effects are part of its character.

We recommend hand-washing this garment separately in lukewarm water using mild detergents, or using a delicate machine wash cycle.
