Introducing Bakr’s “Flame” oversized unisex shirt in Neon Indigo.

Crafted from handspun and handwoven 2x2 Kala cotton—an indigenous organic cotton specific to the Kutch region of Bhuj, Gujarat—this shirt is a slow-made statement in texture and technique.

Each piece is first hand-resist printed using the traditional Japanese rice paste resist method. It is then entirely hand-painted in Rust Black, a colour developed through a fermentation of iron rust and molasses to achieve a deep, rich black. The shirt is over-dyed in our 100% organic Honey Indigo vat and finished with a contrasting hand-done blanket stitch that completes the design.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

This garment is hand-printed and hand-dyed in 100% handcrafted natural colours. Like fine wine, it gets better with age—faint bleeds and effects are part of its character.

We recommend hand-washing this garment separately in lukewarm water using mild detergents, or using a delicate machine wash cycle.
